What PulsePost does

PulsePost helps creators schedule and publish content to their social media accounts. You connect your Instagram account, review AI-generated post drafts, and approve what gets published.

Data we collect

• Account data: Your email address and encrypted password when you sign up.
• Instagram data: When you connect Instagram, we receive an access token, your Instagram user ID, and username. We use these solely to publish posts you approve.
• Content data: Post captions, images, and scheduling preferences you create or approve in the app.

How we use your data

• To publish content to Instagram only after your explicit approval.
• To send the approved image and caption to Meta's Instagram API to complete publishing.
• To operate your account and provide customer support.
• We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

Instagram permissions

We request the minimum permissions needed:

• instagram_business_basic — read your Instagram professional account ID and username to display the connected account.
• instagram_business_content_publish — publish images and captions you explicitly approve. Nothing is published without your approval.

Data storage and security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Instagram access tokens are encrypted at rest using an application-managed encryption key. All traffic uses HTTPS.

Data deletion

You can disconnect your Instagram account from the app settings. This removes the access token stored by PulsePost so we can no longer use it. You can also remove PulsePost's authorization from your Instagram account settings. To delete your PulsePost account and associated data, contact us at the email below.
