How to Build an AI Content Workflow That Actually Works
Everyone talks about "AI content." Few have a workflow that produces publishable output daily without constant babysitting. Here's the system that works.
Step 1: Define your inputs
AI is only as good as what you feed it. Pick 5–10 trusted sources in your niche — news sites, newsletters, research feeds. These become the raw material. Garbage in, garbage out applies doubly to AI.
Step 2: Set your voice once
Write a short style guide: tone (casual? authoritative?), length, emoji usage, hashtag strategy, things to never say. Feed this to your AI as a system prompt. Do this once, refine monthly.
Step 3: Generate in batches
Don't generate one post at a time. Run a daily batch — 5 to 10 drafts at once. Batching is more efficient and gives you options to choose from. Kill the weak ones without mercy.
Step 4: Human review (non-negotiable)
Read every draft before it goes out. Check facts, check tone, check timing. This takes minutes for a batch. It's the highest-leverage 10 minutes of your content day.
Step 5: Schedule and measure
Publish at data-backed times. Then look at what performed — not vanity metrics, but saves, shares, and profile visits. Feed those insights back into your style guide.
The loop
Inputs → Voice → Batch → Review → Schedule → Measure → Refine voice. Run this loop daily and your output compounds. That's the whole secret.
